Learn About Our Project:
Greetings fellow adventurer! My name is Aj and along with my wife, Jenna, we created some amazing steampunk characters for our upcoming game, Topexx Dominions. I present Amzi Goodenough, leader of the Bloodfire Warriors and Captain Bryant Templeton, leader of the Ironhide Warriors. Each miniature comes with its own unique base that is scaled to fit a 35mm miniature.
Our miniatures are 35mm and made of a high-tin pewter. Our friends at The Phalanx Consortium did the sculpting work. They do fantastic work and recently successfully funded their own line of multi-scale sci-fi buildings and accessories called Neo Tyrannis Cityscapes.
We have a monthly newsletter, the Topexx Dominions Adventurer's Journal. Sign up and you can follow along on our journey.

Topexx Dominions is a proud sponsor of the Steampunk Fashion Contest at the International Steampunk Symposium 2017. A big thanks to Sir Aloysius Fox for working with us on making the sponsorship a reality. Unfortunately, we are already scheduled for a different con the weekend of the Symposium in 2017, but rest assured we will be there in 2018.

Meet Bryant Templeton
Captain Bryant Templeton leads the Ironhide Warriors, an elite group of commandos, as part of the Protectorate Division. Currently, he protects the accomplished High Sorceress Minuet.
His career began as the sole protector of the youngest daughter, Minuet, of the affluent Wyndam family. When Cesile, Minuet’s older sister, deserted the family, this forced Minuet to assume the position of being the next Kelrand Border Commander. Captain Templeton formed the Ironhide Warriors to protect her in this dangerous position. As her protector, Bryant operates as her second in command utilizing his brilliant tactics to execute her battle strategies.
In fact, Captain Templeton uses an experimental, topexx crystal-powered Sizzler Ray Gun as his main weapon. The gun allows him to injure or stun his targets – well when it works it is an experimental design, after all. (He won’t share examples of when the gun doesn’t work because no man likes to talk about his gun not working.)
Meet Amzi Goodenough
At a young age, Amzi survived the Massacre of Blackthein, a brutal Hos’lathi raid on her home village that killed her parents. As a child, she was small and sickly, and often picked on by the other orphans, she learned to fight to survive. Over time, she became aggressive and violent, and soon she became the bully. One of the other Massacre survivors, Grimtok, helped her channel her rage into productive endeavors, and before long, they became Champions of the Orphanage, helping all those who came seeking its shelter.
Today she carries on that tradition by seeking out strong women and recruiting them to join her band of Bloodfire Warriors. She works to further her interests and that of Grimtok the Destroyer.
Amzi loves fire, so she constructed her own arm-mounted flamethrower, Pyrogore. Pyrogore attaches to her arm, and rather than relying solely on science, she uses topexx crystals to call forth magical fire to power the gouts of flame she uses to assault her victims. Did I mention Amzi is not a nice person?
The Doctor is In, Meet Mortimer Zachariah (Stretch Goal #1)
Colonel Mortimer Zachariah is the Chief Surgeon of the famous Gun Metal Medicine Men, an elite trio of skilled healers. He does not stay safely tucked away in some hospital, oh no, he gets into the thick of battle and goes directly to where the wounded are in the field. He and his men make it their job to treat the injured and dying while the battle rages around them, using a combination of elixirs and technomagic, to ensure everyone is healed enough to make it to a hospital for further treatment or immediately rejoin the fight.
Mortimer has a natural talent for Healing and became a skilled physician at an early age. However, he knew if he stayed at home, he would become a bored aristocrat tending the runny noses of the pampered elite of the Ebreogalla Kingdom. Instead, he wanted to make a difference in the world, to make his life mean something, so he joined the Kelrand army. Giving up a life of luxury for an Army life was not easy, but he excelled at the challenges. In time, he created the Kelrand Roving Medical Army, or KRMA, to take to the field to heal and protect the wounded by any means necessary. The Gun Metal Medicine Men were the first such team, but in time, other elite teams have formed, such as the Crystalline Valkyries and the Shield Bearers.
The Gun Metal Medicine Men are comprised of Colonel Zachariah, the Chief Surgeon who heals any internal organ damage; Major Hiram Oldfiend an orthopedic surgeon who fixes all bone-related injuries; and Lieutenant Lucien Perch a young physician who prevents infections and heals the skin with minimal scarring.
Dread Pirate Ina Sails Into Port (Stretch Goal #2)
Less than two years ago, she lived on the fringe of society as a no-name deckhand on an insignificant pirate ship. Today she commands the Merry Chase, the most feared airship in the sky. She is Dread Pirate Ina.
Traditionally, pirates lived a life free from Kelrand's rigid social structure, but at a cost. They scavenged for every scrap of food, and often they stole just enough to live. Ina saw a different path, one where she thrived, where she rose to power by her wit and might. One day, she approached a wealthy company director with a plan to raid his competitor's shipment of topexx crystals. She knew he needed those topexxes to launch a new product and turn his business around; all she wanted was a quarter of the haul, oh and a stake in his company. She leveraged this stake and her pirating skills to turn the company into an overnight success, making sure her products always got to the market square first.
From there, she infiltrated every level of Kelrand society. Not only does she drink the local swill at the seedy dockworker's bar, she also dances the waltz with Prince Brandon of Tresian Kingdom. She uses every bit of her power and influence to get her way. Few people have crossed her and those that lived to tell their tale envy the dead.
Blackjack Zacch Picked His Lock (Stretch Goal #3)
At an early age, his family apprenticed him to a locksmith, while learning his trade he realized he saw patterns where no one else did. Whether it was the tumblers of a lock, the gears in a machine, or the layout of a client's house, he intuitively knew the inner workings and design. Soon his employer took him on every job, especially for his well-off clients. Blackjack Zacch was the first to make the connection that weeks later someone had robbed those same clients. He suggested to his employer that he should get a cut from those extracurricular jobs, else certain information would fall into the wrong hands. In fact, perhaps the locksmith's bookie would love to hear about his good fortune. In that moment, with his heart racing and his hand slick with sweat, Blackjack Zacch felt exhilarated and alive like never before; he found his true calling.
Today, he is the best Intelligencer in all the Kelrand Kingdoms. Everyone fears what he knows but no one will touch him; even the High King of Kelrand keeps Blackjack Zacch on friendly terms lest skeletons come out of the wrong closet. He doesn't believe in getting blood on his hands, instead, he chooses to slip a detail so damning that the person becomes a pariah, untouchable by all.
Huntress Haziel Knows Your Secrets
Haziel sauntered down the alley, approaching her client who waited in the shadows ahead. She easily spotted her mark hidden in the recesses. She looked directly into his eyes as if she could pierce the shadows with her gaze, "I hear you have a quandary."
He wrung his hands at her, "Uh, yes, yes I do. You see, someone is blackmailing me, and I have ... uh ... certain aspirations endangered of collapsing. I heard you could find, and, umm, eliminate my problem."
Haziel grinned at the man, he thought he was unknown to her. "Oh course, Commissioner Yorke, I know of your upcoming campaign for a Seat on the Protectorate Council."
"How did ... I'm not ... I simply don't know what you mean."
"I mean you should have come to me three months ago when the blackmail began. But no matter, I know who supplies the information to your blackmailer, so consider it handled. One last thing, I don't eliminate problems... too messy, and too many questions, and you don't need that bothering you. Good night, Councilman Yorke." She strolled away from him thinking, "No one likes to admit they need me, but they always need me."
Haziel has a knack for solving problems; you can call her a fixer, or a troubleshooter, but she prefers huntress. She hunts down other people's problems and takes them out. She won't kill anybody, that's not her way, but she always gets the job done.
A Bag of Bases
We're releasing the custom designed bases as an add-on. That's right you can buy additional custom bases for your other minis, or maybe you want to see Bryant on Zacch's base, either way, now you can make it happen. A bag of six (6) bases (1 of each type) costs $10. If you want them, make sure you have increased your pledge to make sure you can get them. As always, you can select them when you select the miniatures you want, which will happen during the BackerKit process.
What is the goal of the campaign?
As you can see from the pictures above we have the 3D sculpts complete and even have a test miniature made for each character. We need to get the production mold made and then produce the miniatures. This means that you won't have to wait a long time before you get your miniatures, once we get the money from Kickstarter we will immediately start making the production molds and produce the miniatures.
We created these figures so everyone can enjoy them. We plan to use them in our own D&D campaign and hope that you will use them in RPG campaigns. We will reinvest from this campaign to create and release additional figures. Check out our Topexx Dominions Facebook page or our site for more details as we continue to develop the setting and mechanics.
What is Topexx Dominions?
Topexx Dominions is a steampunk fantasy setting that we created. We created the setting about two years ago as part of another project, but it’s been only in the last six months that we’ve worked on the setting in earnest, and only in the last month that we’ve worked on RPG mechanics. We fleshed out some of the characters with some personalities, backgrounds, and illustrations. So we asked ourselves...what if we took some of these Topexx Dominions characters, talked to our friends at The Phalanx Consortium, and had them sculpt some fantastically detailed metal miniatures? And this Kickstarter came to be!
So far, we have two factions in our world, but we're working on adding more. Our first faction is the steampunk-inspired faction called the Kelrands. The Kelrands are a mixture of humans, dwarves, and other similar races that combine the latent power in topexx crystals with technology to create technomagic, which defines and drives their society. The second faction is a nature-inspired faction called the Hos'lathi. The Hos'lathi are a mixture of elves and other fae races that harness the power of Nature stored in the topexx crystals to create enviromagic. Enviromagic allows them to shape their environment to the benefit of all living things.
What about shipping?
We will be using BackerKit after the campaign completes and will handle the shipping charges through them. This allows us to capture the true cost of shipping as opposed to trying to predict what it will be in the months ahead.
Who are we?
We are gamers, we play roleplaying games, board games, video games, card games, simply put we love to play games. When it comes to roleplaying games I have been playing since Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition (way back in the day :) ), Jenn has been playing since AD&D 2nd edition. More recently, we have both gotten into Fate. Some of our most memorable play sessions saw our characters in the grips of a devilish plot and we had to work together to overcome the villain and save the day. We want to create a setting that allows you to enjoy the same thing. Join us as we develop Topexx Dominions and be the hero you were born to be!
